Širvintos would like to include private medical institutions
This week, the “live tail” principle was one of the first to be tested in the Širvintos district, where, according to the municipality, AstraZeneca, around 150 people over 65 years of age have been vaccinated in the last day. According to the district mayor Živilė Pinskuvienė, this result, taking into account that people are vaccinated more slowly with this vaccine, is not a bad thing.

Another problem that the municipality faces is human resources: its outpatient personnel have to test the population and vaccinate it. Ž.Pinskuvienė calls on the Ministry to force private medical institutions to contribute to this process, as they are currently slow to contribute to joint work.
“The Ministry of Health leaves all decisions to the municipality. The municipality must assign the agency to carry out all these vaccinations, tests, all other procedures related to Covidu. And, of course, it goes down to the municipal polyclinics, ”said Ž.Pinskuvienė.
“We have two private centers in the Širvintos district. The same doctors. They do not have tasks from the Government, the Seimas, the Ministry. Everyone receives the same money for everyone. The situation in Šalčininkai has improved slightly
The mayor of the Šalčininkai district, Zdzislavas Palevičius, told BNS that the changes in vaccination had a negligible result.
