Assessed Importance of New Mental Health Restrictions: Who Will Respond More

[ad_1]

“These accepted restrictions are certainly not normal in our lives. They have or can have adverse effects on mental health. We already know from studies that restrictions affect people differently.

Some people feel better, are in less hurry, and may be at home more, but there are definitely groups of people who are negatively affected. These include young people, women, parents with young children, as well as people with financial difficulties and people who had psychological difficulties before the quarantine. It is important that these restrictions are accompanied by a focus on people’s mental health and that help is available. To fully amortize the damage to people, ”said P. Skruibis after the Government meeting.

Mr. Skruibis noted that although quarantine measures have been tightened, the activities of psychologists will be allowed not only remotely, but also by contact.

The Cabinet of Ministers headed by Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė extended the quarantine until January 31 on Sunday.
