The Freedom Party won 11 seats in the Seimas elections and formed a coalition with the Conservatives and the Liberal Movement.

“For the presidents, coordination between the coalition partners is important, and now it would be irresponsible to appoint one or the other ministry. The president will also have a strong voice here,” A. Armonaitė said at a press conference held at the National Library Martynas Mažvydas from Lithuania on Monday.

According to preliminary data, A. Armonaitė won in the Lithuanian constituency of the world.

“I received congratulations from my competitor, but we are waiting for the latest results,” he said.

Evelina Dobrovolska, a representative of the Freedom Party, said that it is a rare phenomenon that a Polish representative is at the top of the list of the Lithuanian party.

“I am glad that we have a Polish representative in the Seimas who will be guided by human rights and the rule of law,” he said.

Vytautas Mitalas, a member of the Vilnius City Municipal Council elected to the Seimas, said that the good news for Lithuania is the representatives of an ambitious and forward-looking country in the Seimas.

“First we are talking about work and the necessary changes that would be in the new coalition, that is, education, the economy, human rights,” he said.
