“Online purchases, in which the products are delivered to your home or at the collection points, are not restricted. This is a provision of the Government Resolution. This means that the collection points can be very simple: they can be close to any store, large or small. The most important thing is to guarantee the collection of goods without CONTACT. People can order products online, by phone and through social networks “, explains A. Armonaitė.

According to her, representatives of traders are also invited to consult on Thursday on how to ensure the proper application of quarantine restrictions.

“We will both listen to the little ones and we will consult with the great ones so that they do not become places of mass gathering. It is understandable that restricting trade tempts people to search for Christmas gifts or unnecessary purchases at large grocery stores. In the same way, retail chains that do not sell food but also have food departments must comply with the Government’s resolution: Only food departments can operate.

We are very interested in inviting merchants to contribute to less mobility and less contact so that the quarantine does not have to be stricter. However, we do not intend to paralyze the country’s economy, so all non-food trade through the Internet, telephone or other remote contactless means is PERMITTED in the country ”, says the Minister of Economy and Innovation.

The government has closed all stores that do not offer food, veterinary, pharmacy, optical items and orthopedic technical equipment as of Wednesday. Stores, including those in shopping or entertainment centers, markets and other non-prohibited public outlets, must have a sales area of 15 square meters per visitor.
