On Saturday, after a meeting with Prime Minister Ingrid Šimonyte, she stated that no funds were planned for support in the current draft budget.
“It is very important to provide sufficient funds to help companies that have suffered quarantine and fighting. I can say that the economic and innovation budget has planned exactly zero for those measures next year. I mean, now with the Prime Minister we had to find that money (…) we will try to have more for those measures. But we will be able to communicate the exact amount when we see it in the budget, “A. Armonaitė told reporters on Saturday.
According to her, the key criterion for granting aid to companies will continue to be 30%. reduced turnover and more funds are also foreseen for loans.

I think that business interest is healthy people and business interest is the opportunity to open as soon as possible next year: open the country, bars, galleries everything. That is, so that we can do it faster next year, we need to reduce the number of deaths today. Because today the situation is unmanageable, we have to start managing it again, “said A. Armonaitė.
The outgoing government has established subsidies for companies affected by quarantine restrictions of up to 25 percent. It paid the personal income tax (PIT) last year and would allocate about 150 million. euros.
