Aistė Šuksta, Public Relations Advisor to the Minister of Health Arūnas Dulkis, explained on Monday to the Delfi portal that the Opportunity Passport is not about travel, but about opportunities within the country, so those with isolation after returning from abroad do not are exempt after the first dose of Vaxzevria.

“The Passport of Opportunity is valid only domestically. It is valid only in Lithuania and it is not valid when traveling abroad or when returning from abroad. The Passport of Opportunity does not offer any option in terms of isolation. It is about additional activities that people will be able to carry out four weeks after the first dose of the vaccine, ”said the minister’s adviser.

When returning from another country, the COVID-19 test is not mandatory and isolation does not apply to the following people:

  • for patients with COVID-19 disease, if it has been confirmed in the last 180 days;
  • for people in transit through Lithuania, when only necessary stops are made in Lithuania (for refueling, ensuring hygiene needs, etc.);
  • members of official delegations.
