Born and raised in the Rokiškis district, D. Buterlevičienė has lived in Anykščiai since 1979. 1979-1997 was a physiotherapist at Anykščiai District Central Hospital. 1990 D.Buterlevičienė obtained the 1st qualification category of physiotherapist. From 1997 to 2018, D. Buterlevičienė worked at the Primary Health Care Center of the Anykščiai District Municipality, was head of the Rehabilitation Service for Child Development Disorders and a physiotherapist at the Child Development Center.

2018 In the summer of 2006, D. Buterlevičienė temporarily held the position of director of the primary health care center of the Anykščiai district municipality.

She was also a member of the Lithuanian Society of Physiotherapists, President of the Association for Neurodynamic Therapy of the Republic of Lithuania and President of the Regional Society of Physiotherapists of Aukštaitija.

D. Buterlevičienė raised his daughter Modesta. The grandmother lost two grandchildren and her husband Romualdas, who works at Anykščiai hospital, was left a widower.
