“The case is asymptomatic – the employee did not feel the indicated symptoms of COVID-19, he feels fine and has been at home in isolation since yesterday. The investigation was conducted in a responsible manner as he was informed that he had contact with the patient. This morning, after receiving the results of the investigation, we immediately informed our Human Resources Management Department, ”he wrote.

“All the necessary actions continue promptly: offices, common use premises and elevators in the municipality are disinfected. The data has been sent to the National Center for Public Health, we are waiting for your recommendations. “We responsibly assessed the situation – because the employee had contacts with other employees, including myself and several other people on my team, we all remain isolated at home and continue to work remotely,” added the mayor.

According to R. Šimašius, colleagues who had contact have to investigate COVID-19.

“We are currently in contact with the NVSC regarding the early identification of contacts and their prompt notification, as well as the decision to investigate as many potential contacts as possible, thus avoiding the possibility of finding a fireplace in a timely manner,” said the incumbent. “I look forward to a quick response and cooperation from the NVSC, especially when early voting begins at the municipal building on Monday,” he wrote.

He also urged event attendees to wear masks and keep a safe distance.
