Thirteen people between the ages of 60 and 99 die from COVID-19 every day, the National Center for Public Health (NVSC) said on Saturday.
All the dead had concomitant illnesses.
Deaths were recorded in Kaunas, Tauragė, Klaipėda and Šiauliai counties.
Eight more people died in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai and Telšiai counties for other reasons.
COVID-19 approved a total of 33 thousand. 387 people, 25 thousand. 322 of them are still ill, 7697 have recovered.
Since COVID-19, a total of 266 people have died since the start of the pandemic, and another 102 died from other causes.
The NVSC has not yet investigated about half of the cases registered last day.
Of the 1,531 new COVID-19 cases confirmed last day, 765 have yet to be investigated, the National Public Health Center (NVSC) said on Saturday.
Epidemiological studies of the cases are currently being carried out.
423 cases were recorded in Vilnius county, 230 in Šiauliai, 188 in Kaunas, 177 in Klaipėda, 171 in Alytus, 97 in Tauragė, 86 in Panevėžys, 58 in Telšiai, 45 in Marijampolė, 42 in Utena counties.
12 cases have not yet been assigned to any region of the country due to lack of information.
The cases registered during the last day are related to outbreaks in the Orlen Retail Lietuva companies in Kryžkalnis, Modest, Rivona, Skytech.lt.
New outbreak-related cases were also recorded in Šilalė District Municipality, Biržai District Nursery-Kindergarten “Rugelis”, Raseiniai Social Services Center and Kretinga Social Services Center.
According to the NVSC, most of the cases were in outbreaks related to the Adakavas social care home, the Blinstrubiškės social care home, the nursing department of the Eišiškės personal health care center, the Jurdaičiai social care home, the Prienai social care home, Kazys Grinius nursing care and support hospital. Also with outbreaks at LSMU Kaunas clinics, Mažeikiai hospital, Telšiai regional hospital, Vilnius University hospital at Santara clinics, Utena St. Klara Nursing and Support Treatment Hospital, Švenčionys District Hospital, Hospital of Varniai, Tauragė, Jurbarkas, Plungė Hospitals, Skaudvilė Nursing and Support Treatment Hospital.
