However, the confrontation with the justice and the victims was not prevented by Inga N., a former illegal resident of Klaipėda: the girl, who was detained abroad by officials and taken to Lithuania, spent almost four months behind bars.
Inga N. knew that she was wanted by pre-trial investigators for crimes she had committed, which investigators had repeatedly told her while she was still living in Turkey. However, the suspect still avoided returning to his homeland: he claimed that he had started a new stage in his life and had a son abroad.
The Klaipėda citizen, who was prosecuted for the use of foreign identity documents, as well as forgery and fraudulent acquisition of foreign property, committed crimes in 2015, but was convicted only now: she was brought to Lithuania at the end of July after the The extradition request was submitted by officials. Police department officers spent nearly 1.8 thousand on this trip. Therefore, the girl will have to reimburse this amount to the State.
For the crimes committed, the court of Inga N. awarded almost 13 thousand. Eur, but as the sentence included 110 days that he spent in custody, the condemned will have to pay only 300 Eur. In addition, he will have to compensate the damage caused: more than 4 thousand. EUR. It is true that the damage caused by Inga N. amounted to a much larger amount, but while she was living abroad she tried to compensate at least in small parts for the damage caused.
According to the case file, Inga N. was found to work for a travel agency that had opened a branch in the supermarket; the manager assisted clients in choosing vacation trips abroad, as well as handling visa issues and helping to book hotels. The customer service department of an insurance company was located on the same premises, so the manager maintained friendly relations with other employees. One of these workers and suffered from Inga N.
“One day I received an SMS message on my phone stating that I had not paid the monthly payment for the product purchased in installments,” said the victim. – I was very surprised, because I had bought a coffee machine in installments before and I paid the installments well, so I went to the company to find out the situation. And then I found out that a lease was signed in my name, on the basis of which a mobile phone was bought in the store. “
After reviewing the contract she had signed, the woman saw that it incorrectly indicated her residential address, but a very similar signature was drawn and a copy of her identity card was attached.
“When I saw that my friend’s phone number was on the contract, I realized that the contract had been signed by Inga N.; it was obvious that she had used my documents illegally,” a woman who worked for an insurance company.
When asked to substantiate her allegations, the victim explained that she worked in the same room with Inga N. that there were times when she sometimes left her wallet unattended.
“My wallet contained my documents, and I also noticed that the consumer credit agreement for the payment of the phone was made in the same supermarket where we worked, it is in front of my workplace,” he said.
The woman said she had always felt safe at her workplace, keeping her purse in a staff locker room separated from the workplace by a wall.
“Now I realize that Inga N. was able to do whatever she wanted when she went to the personnel room, because it was not possible to monitor these rooms from our workplace,” said an employee of the insurance company during the survey. It helped the same day.
When the woman learned that she was in debt over a mobile phone bought in installments, Inga V. was no longer working for a travel agency, but when the victim contacted her, she admitted using foreign documents and signing a lease. . Why, he couldn’t explain, but promised to cover all contributions.
Inga N. promised to compensate another Klaipėda resident who was a regular customer of the travel agency. In addition to the fact that the girls have been known for many years, Inga N. frequently visited the beauty salon where her client worked.
The victim only found out that Inga N. had used foreign documents after a good half year when she tried to pay utility and other taxes.
“I never paid attention to the bills, but this time I realized that it was a little higher than usual,” the woman said. – So I decided to find out why and opened my statement online – I saw that there was another phone number registered in my name, although it did not belong to me. I tried to call that number but it was off. I called the mobile phone company, where the operator told me that they had concluded another contract and I took not only another number, but also a mobile phone, for which I am obliged to pay 29 euros per month. I was very surprised because I hadn’t. “
The woman said that she had previously picked up her son’s phone and paid the monthly payments, and when she fulfilled her contractual obligations, she didn’t even realize she was paying for another machine.
“The amount was similar, then after finding out I calculated that I paid for this phone four months after 29 Eur”, according to the woman, later she saw in the received copy of the contract that she was obliged to pay 798 Eur for the purchased phone.
After reviewing the copy of the contract, the victim immediately realized that Inga N could have concluded the contract with the mobile phone company: From this note, I understood that Inga N.’s letter is very similar because she has prepared me travel documents many times. I realized that I had, but couldn’t believe it. “
During a police interview, the woman said that Inga N., who worked at a travel agency, had repeatedly left her passport.
“I remember wanting to get a visa for Russia because I was going to go shopping there, so without thinking about anything bad and trusting Inga N., I gave her my passport,” said the victim. – The passport stayed with her for a few weeks and then she came back. The next time I gave him a passport when he wanted to get an annual visa. “
When the woman learned that Inga N. may have misused her identity card, she called the manager, but did not attack the accuser.
“During the conversation, I mentioned to him that someone had taken a cell phone on my behalf in installments, I still couldn’t believe that Inga N. could have done it,” he said. -After hearing this, the manager began to tell me the story that a relative had come to her a few months ago with the son of a drug addict, who allegedly took my passport, which he used to obtain a mobile phone. He also said that the relative caused problems for his mother and someone else; he also took mobile phones on his behalf. I trusted her, all the more because she promised me that the relatives would compensate the damage they had done to me. “
An employee of the insurance company assured that she had decided not to contact the police, that she did not want to cause problems. But before that, friends asked if that relative had obtained quick loans on their behalf.
“She assured me they hadn’t actually taken it,” the woman explained.
But things changed when one day a woman called her cell phone and posed as an employee of a fast credit company.
“She asked me if I agreed that my friend Inga N. could cover the loan, and she also wondered if I knew what the remaining loan was; then I shook my legs because I realized that the credit had been taken from me. name, “he said. hee said.
The victim went to the company that same day, where he learned that he had loaned 1.1 thousand. Eur, but the interest was so high that even six months after the loan was granted, the debt amounted to 1.4 thousand. EUR.
“I immediately contacted Inga N. and asked to see us, because she still had my passport at the time,” the woman told police. – During this meeting, he gave me a document and 300 euros for the phone that I picked up on my behalf, and promised to deliver the other money later. Then I told her that I knew she had taken credit for me, but she was silent, she didn’t say anything to me. “
The victim, who returned home, tried to find out if more loans had been taken on her behalf: “After joining e-banking, I saw that two more loans had been tried, but I just did not grant them.”
At that time, Inga N. explained during questioning that she regretted this irresponsible behavior and promised to compensate for the damage caused. The defendant admitted to having illegally used the identity documents of an insurance agent and a client of a travel agency who worked in the same place to obtain credit and buy mobile phones.
The girl assured that she initially tried to cover her debts with the credit and mobile phone companies: “I was hoping that no one would find out. But after that, I stopped paying contributions because I had personal problems, I didn’t have a job at the time, and my health was also failing. “
Klaipėda did not hide that he had sold the received phones, because he needed money.
“I was in arrears and I was also pressured by the bailiffs, but I thought I would cover all my arrears as my financial situation improved,” he exclaimed.
The manager of the travel agency also pointed out that she could buy mobile phones and get a quick loan without any problem, although she presented foreign documents, which no one looked at and did not even delve into whether the documents were signed by her. person. It is true that, according to her, two credits could not be obtained because in one company she answered incorrectly the control questions of the company’s employees and in another it was said that the client did not meet the criteria.
