Experts warn: you need to honestly follow the rules of social bubbles

Due to movement restrictions between municipalities, part of the population has faced the challenge: how to care for elderly parents living in other regions? So social bubbles, if families have no other contacts, they should solve this problem.

After the Government meeting on Wednesday, the Dean of the Faculty of Public Health of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU), prof. skilled. Dr. Ramunė Kalėdienė said at a press conference held after the government meeting that this change will affect many households.

“You can imagine how many people live in Lithuania one by one. It is not just older people. These are groups of people of all ages,” he said.

The professor said that any release of contacts represents a risk of spreading the disease, but requires people’s awareness and compliance with the rules.

“We hope that people also remain aware of those bubbles of support.” When creating such a bubble, its participants must commit to not having other close contacts outside of that bubble, ”said R. Kalėdienė.

The expert said that the participants of said bubble of support will have the right to cross the limits of their municipality of residence.

“We recommend that no matter which municipality has the person who needs support, those limits should be opened. This problem must be solved technically, “said R. Kalėdienė.
