According to data from the National Center for Public Health, another confirmed case was identified Thursday for an employee of the Šeškinė polyclinic.
“He is an employee who does not work with patients. Also, he works remotely. He did not visit that polyclinic,” said a representative from NVSC.
According to her, the worker planned to return to work these days and she was diagnosed with coronavirus during a preventive checkup.
“According to initial data, the person indicated that he visited public places:” Akropolis “,” Lidl “store, but the clearest circumstances of the infection are not clear, so today we will carry out an additional survey,” said G. Megelinskienė.
He stressed that the person became infected at the Šeškinė polyclinic.
The public health specialist also reported that another case, involving a company employee, had been identified, related to a case reported at the transportation company earlier this week.
Among other things, there is another case: an employee of the small Remiloga community became infected; In this case, it is still unclear to epidemiologists how the first case of coronavirus occurred.
The total number of infected people in Lithuania is 1792. Currently, 244 people are still sick with COVID-19 and 1462 have recovered.
76 people died from coronavirus, another ten died from other causes.
