“The panel of judges has decided not to comply with the provision of the Pravieniškės Correctional Center due to the deprivation of the ship imposed on the convict until the change of life to a prison sentence,” says the chairman of the panel of judges Algirdas Giedraitis.

Thus, the court once again broke the wish of Henrikas Daktaras, the head of the Kaunas criminal world, to know the date of his release. He remains in prison for life.

You will not be able to request a change to this sentence again until a year later. The court was not convinced by the progress shown by Henytė that he works, has 13 incentives and participates in various activities, that this is very little and that the risk of repeated criminal behavior remains very high. It also has disciplinary sanctions.

“Convicted Henrik Doctor has been convicted more than once before. He is currently serving a sentence for several crimes, including very serious crimes: qualified murders. During the examination of the case, H. Daktaras did not admit his guilt in principle,” says A Giedraitis.

Such decision was accompanied by a reply from the Doctor.

“Not entirely stupid, of course I got it,” said medical convict Henrik.

And here the Doctor’s wife and mother are disappointed.

“There are no facts, there are no proofs, you are sitting alive. There is no reality and no justice, ”says mother Jadvyga Daktarienė.

Ramutė Daktarienė says that he secretly hoped that today he would find out when the man would be released.

“I really wanted to believe that the court would reduce the sentence and change it to a fixed one. I don’t know if he can behave better than now, he has been through all hell, Lukiškės basements, he moved to Pravienišk fors for good behavior, relieved the conditions, and really paid the demands, and a person without penalties, well, three penalties in 20 years, sad, sorry, God will give you next time, ”said his wife Ramutė Daktarienė.

This is the convict’s second attempt to exchange the harsher sentence for an actual year in prison. From the beginning, the prosecution opposed the commutation of Henyte, who had been sent to prison for life-long crimes.

“The position of the prosecution is strict and consistent, which is why we opposed the request of Henrik Daktar, who was sentenced to life imprisonment, to be sentenced to life imprisonment. – says the prosecutor Tomas Staniulis.

And Henrik Daktars’ wife confirms that she will actually appeal against such a decision of the Kaunas Regional Court.
