According to him, the case is asymptomatic: the employee did not feel the indicated symptoms of COVID-19, he feels fine and has been in self-isolation at home since yesterday.

“The research was conducted in a responsible manner because he was informed that he had contact with the patient. Upon receiving the results of the study this morning, we immediately informed our Human Resources Management Department, as we had foreseen in our action plan . All the necessary actions follow immediately: the offices, the premises of common use and the elevators are disinfected in the municipality. The data has been sent to the NVSC, we are awaiting their recommendations “, wrote the mayor of the capital.

And right here, he announced that he would isolate himself and wait until a coronavirus test was done.

“We responsibly assessed the situation – because the employee had contacts with other employees, including myself and several other people on my team, we all remain isolated at home and continue to work remotely. We will also register with the investigation hotline. Of course, I will also not participate in the events planned today, ”taught R. Šimašius.

He also asked everyone involved in larger events or gatherings to wear masks and keep a safe distance.

R. Šimašius stated that he was asking the Public Health Center to carry out more active tests on municipal employees.

“We are currently in contact with the NVSC regarding the prompt identification of contacts and their prompt information, as well as the decision to investigate as many potential contacts as possible, thus avoiding the possibility of finding a fireplace in a timely manner.

I look forward to a quick response and cooperation from the NVSC, especially when early voting begins at the City Hall on Monday. By the way, due to the start of early voting on the first and second floors of the municipality, yesterday the Director of Administration informed the employees next week to plan the work remotely. We wish our colleagues a speedy recovery and look forward to their return, ”said the Mayor of Vilnius.
