Prof. Pranas Baltrėnas was a Knight of the Order of the Grand Duke of Lithuania Gediminas, laureate of the Prize for Science of the Republic of Lithuania, winner of the gold medal and certificate of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), meritorious inventor, member from foreign academies, honorary doctorate in environmental sciences. The statue of Christopher, as well as the medal of the second degree “For the merits of Vilnius and the nation”.
Prof. Pranas Baltrėnas was editor-in-chief of the Lithuanian scientific journal, member of the editorial boards of many foreign journals, long-term chairman (more than 25 years) of the Public Environmental Protection Commission of the Vilnius City Council, chairman of the 36th Technical Committee from the Lithuanian Department of Standardization LST TC 36, Member of the Council of the Union of Scientists and Member of the Board of the Society for the Beautification of Lithuania.
Prof. P. Baltrėnas was the author and co-author of 20 monographs in Lithuanian, Russian, German, English, 4 scientific books, more than 430 scientific publications, more than 100 inventions, 25 teaching aids, 3 textbooks, more than 100 publications in foreign magazines.
