I learned of the need for a test at the sanitarium. But they didn’t say the order number. When I tried to register for the COVID-19 test, together with the hotline consultant, we both found the order, we looked for it for a long time, but we found it, ”said the woman.

It’s true, as Karina says, SAM managed to contact her mother. However, they did not receive the necessary assistance even after contact.

“All they said was that it is as is, the order is stupid, but there is nothing that can be done. I thought that maybe there would be some exceptions, because the man was very sick, but so far this is the end of the road and I can’t do anything, ”lamented the Vilnius woman.

A little later that night, the interlocutor’s father was found in the hospital due to health problems.

“All doctors unequivocally say to travel to the sanatorium and as soon as possible. But no one accepts us yet, the condition is difficult. I can’t call until SAM … “, the woman wrote in the letter.

Such an order was made due to the increase in infections.

After contacting SAM, it was confirmed that the order was issued and is valid. This was decided after the epidemiological situation in the country began to deteriorate again, and new strains of coronavirus infected even infected people. However, according to SAM, if a sick person receives a positive PCR test result, they can receive services in a rehabilitation center indicated by the Ministry of Health.

These changes were adopted after evaluating the opinion of infectious disease physicians, epidemiologists, suggestions from other specialists, and information and suggestions provided by the administrators of the organizing hospitals. It was evaluated that:
– we have a high level of infection by the SARS-CoV-2 virus in society;

– taking into account the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus strains (e.g. South African, British, Brazilian, etc.) and the fact that several cases of people previously infected with coronavirus have been reinfected and sickened in 90 days. reported, COVID-19;

– there is a high risk of infecting or infecting other people in hospitals, particularly those with a higher risk of developing a serious illness;
