This weekend weather conditions are expected to be much more favorable, and participants will be able to come not only from Kaunas, but also from the district, according to a press release.

“People long for the market, we see it in constant inquiries and inquiries. Many used the quarantine period to manage their homes and warehouses, choosing outdated items that they would like to sell. Also, spring is a time when we are used to cleaning and tidying up right here.

It also means a new season, so people want to look for what they need for spring: lighter clothes, bicycles, lawn mowers, outdoor furniture, ”said Dovilė Lengvenienė, marketing manager for the business city of Urmas.

According to her, the first market after a long hiatus was a little smaller than usual, but a lot of fun.

“It was a lot of fun for people to see each other, to cross in a few words, to look for more interesting things. We are also very grateful to both traders and visitors for their safe behavior: keeping their distance, wearing masks, sanitizing hands. At the market this weekend, we will also pay close attention to keeping distances and disinfection, and we will ask visitors and traders to wear masks, ”said D. Lengvenienė.

Due to the warmer weather and the lifted restrictions on movement between the city of Kaunas and the district municipalities, a larger number of market participants is expected this weekend. According to the organizers, a week ago many people wanted to come from the Kaunas district, but could not because of the restrictions in place at the time.

People come to the luggage market by car to sell their things that are no longer necessary but are still good. Most often it is about clothes, shoes, interior details, dishes, appliances, children’s toys, bicycles, various tools, small furniture.

The market takes place in Kaunas, on the territory of the market town “Urmas”, on the site Elektrėnų str. 1F every Saturday and Sunday from morning to afternoon.
