The most recent parking employment survey, conducted in 2020. fall, shows that compared to 2020. and 2018. data, there is a global decrease in parking space occupancy in all toll zones. This was influenced by the epidemiological situation and the sharp decline in population mobility.

• In the blue zone, employment fell from 77 to 65%, in the red zone from 88 to 64%, in the yellow zone from 83 to 63% and in the green zone from 66 to 62%. The smallest change in the green area is related to the fact that this area is more residential.

• The total parking occupancy on the streets of Senamiesčio decreased from 85 to 68 percent, however, in some streets it increased, for example, on Didžioji str. 83 to 88 percent, St. Jono g. 69 to 78%, which may have been influenced by more active local tourism.

• The busiest blue areas were Kaštonai, Šermukšniai, Jogaila, A. Smetona, L. Stuoka – Gucevičius, Žemaitijos, Vasario 16-osios streets, which is related to the highest concentration of residential buildings and located state businesses and institutions.

• In 2020, compared to 2019, paid parking orders accounted for about 25 percent. fewer, and in December, when quarantine restrictions tightened, they were around 45% lower. less than in the same period of 2019.
