In Lithuania, quarantine is extended and restrictions are tightened
On Sunday night, the government unanimously approved the new restrictions, which will take effect as soon as Tuesday night ends and begins Wednesday. Among the new restrictions is a ban on leaving your home unless you have to work, bury something or buy food. The operation of non-food stores will also be prohibited, with the exception of online sales. The quarantine runs until January 31.

At the meeting, Prime Minister I. Šimonytė hinted that benefits will be provided to residents who care for children, as well as those who are not working due to additional restrictions.
