Veryga stated that it was difficult to better prepare for the coronavirus. The accumulation of the reserve is said to be now forecast for three months, but in the past it would have been difficult to understand.

“What would have happened if COVID had bought a million respirators?” The minister asked rhetorically.

The government plans to lift the quarantine on Wednesday, but leave the emergency conditions. This means that A.Veryga’s decisions, as chief operating officer, would remain valid. Only a few bans would become recommendations.

The Minister assured that his decisions and the basis for them would be reviewed, but he still could not say what decisions would change.

According to A.Veryga, many restrictions and recommendations will remain.

“I don’t know when I’ll be able to do it freely (cafes, restaurants, ed.). I wish I didn’t forget it. Unfortunately, the numbers aren’t happy by any means,” said A. Veryga.

The Minister assured that as of July 10, a population survey is planned in Lithuania, which will show how much of the population has contracted the new coronavirus.

Six new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Lithuania last day, the total number increased to 1,733, the Ministry of Health reported on Wednesday.

280 people still suffer from coronavirus and 1,369 have recovered.

Three deaths from COVID-19 were identified on the previous day. A total of 74 people died, and ten more died from other causes.

As of the first day of June, 14 cases of imported diseases have been registered in the country.

5319 samples of suspected coronavirus were analyzed last day, the total number of tests is 345 thousand. 392.
