On Monday night, the Health Minister addressed the opposition on the Facebook social network, putting an end to rumors that they know how to better handle the coronavirus situation in the country.

“Dear members of the opposition, I understand that the post-election adrenaline continues to do a lot and my emotions, but I would like to remind you that the election is over. It has already won and is forming the ruling majority. You no longer need to try to convince voters that you know better how to handle a coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The public has trusted you beforehand. It only remains to show that you really know what to do. I appeal to you with a request and a call for an end to the unnecessary confrontation and the stories that this is not the case and it is not, ”wrote A. Veryga.

According to the Minister of Health, the situation is deteriorating not only in Lithuania, but also in almost all of Europe. So, in his words, if there was a miracle solution, it would have already been applied.

“Unfortunately it does not exist and we will have to work very hard and intensely, looking for solutions that are not yet known to anyone. The confrontation that has continued until now does not help to manage a situation in which society continues to have doubts about the “statistics”, the quarantine management measures that are being adopted, etc. So I propose to end the unnecessary confrontation and rhetoric of the leading opposition nowhere about the coronavirus that is spreading across the world. Even more. I invite you to decide as soon as possible who will be entrusted with the position of Minister of Health in the new Government, ”the Minister emphasized.

Mr. Veryga added promising help to the newly elected Minister or Minister of Health.

“I will present the existing institutions, the activities of the staff, the measures so that when you start working you do not have to immerse yourself in cold water and try to orient yourself while wasting precious time. The chaos of changing ministers is the least you would want in a situation like this. Concentration is very important, because the common goal is to control the spread of this virus as soon as possible. I have sincerely taken this oath to this country and will keep it to the best of my ability until the last day in this office. Well, I wish the new minister or minister the best of luck and wise decisions! ”- the Minister of Health wrote on Facebook.
