A “terrorist” who threatened to detonate a bomb in Kiev has been arrested

Earlier Monday, a 35-year-old man threatened to detonate a powerful bomb allegedly carried in a backpack at a branch of Universal’s Leonardo business center. The police started negotiations with this person; the building was evacuated, leaving only the bank branch chief, who refused to leave.

He also posted a photo of the terrorist showing him sitting on a chair in the office, fighting in another chair where he left his backpack. Next to the table sits a bank employee who previously refused to leave the premises.

According to previous reports, an unknown man under the age of 35 visited a Universal Bank branch located in Leonardo’s business center around noon. He said he would have a bomb in his backpack and asked to call the police.

Bank employees left the facility and the branch manager voluntarily remained there. A special operation was started and the police began negotiations with the terrorist and offered to surrender.

Car traffic was blocked near the business center.
