Timas Šimkus is currently studying science at the Klaipėda Baltijos Gymnasium, which develops engineering science. The boy deepens his knowledge at Western Shipyard and dreams of studying mechanical engineering in Kaunas.

The business idea came from attending the Junior Achievement Economics Club. Tim doesn’t hide the fact that the idea evolved by diving into the vastness of the internet and touching something similar in the United States. Together with his friends, he came up with the idea of developing an idea that would at least add a little bit to his pocket, broaden his horizons and allow him to have fun. The four colleagues who developed the idea for a brilliant photo presented their project at the young student fair, where they won an award for the idea that investors liked the most. Tim smiles saying that the friends had a great time, but they spent more than they received. It is true that a bank offered the students € 1,000 to develop the project, but in the end, the idea was left to Timo.

The guy says he bought a 3D printer and stopped sleeping without sleep. Perhaps the biggest challenge has become the production of stands. They are designed and printed by himself.

Photos are on eco-friendly plant-based plastic that breaks down in just one month. Tim says the plastic contains strawberries, among other plants.

The idea is simple: the desired photo is printed on a plastic 3D printer: portrait, landscape or other. This can be straight, as if inserted into a frame, or curved. Finally, the plastic photo sits on a holder and a built-in light on the back illuminates the photo when the cable is plugged into an outlet. Tim says that such photos can become small table lamps, ornate interior details.

A childhood friend helps him make lighting decisions. Tim praised his friend for his excellent knowledge of electrical matters.

The boy brought a photo taken from the Internet to the meeting. Capture a freckled face and the eyes stand out the most. Demonstrating how the photo shines, Tim turns on the product and says that it is this photo that fascinates because of its uniqueness, because from which side you look, it seems that the eyes are looking at you. In some places the plastic pieces are more prominent, in others less so. The thinner parts shine brighter and the thicker parts shine less, which makes the photo more comfortable.

Tim takes about 14 hours to take a photo and another 3-4 hours. required to make the stand. This is also made of eco-friendly plastic, but different, stronger and more durable.
