On Sunday, the FIFA Futsal World Championship began in Lithuania, where 24 teams divided into 6 groups will meet for the title of winners in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda.
In the first match of the championship, the Lithuanian team after a very persistent fight and missed a goal in the last minutes of the match 1: 2 (1: 1) landed for the Venezuelan team.
Venezuela was able to get up in minute 3 when Carlosas Sanzas missed his shot after a cross from the right. However, already in the 7th minute, the Lithuanians managed to equalize the result in a quick attack, when Justinas Zagurskas scored after a pass from David Reimaris.
The tying goal seemed certain in the 38th minute when Venezuela attacked down the left wing, but Alfredo Vidalis barely managed to stop the ball out of the net.
For both teams, it was their World Cup debut.

The championship was won by the Russian Football Federation, which 9: 0 crushed Egypt, Kazakhstan 6: 1 defeated Costa Rica and Guatemala 6: 5 broke Uzbekistan.
The World Championships in Lithuania will take place from September 12 to October 3.
From each group, the top two finishers and the top four third-party teams will advance to the playoffs.

Venezuela has asked to review the episode of this goal and the contact between the players before the quick attack. After reviewing the episode, the judges did not change the decision and the goal was scored.
