As Kaunas Hospital reported to BNS, a healthy child weighing more than 3.3 kg, born 3-5 days ago, was found.

According to the hospital, the boy was dressed in warm, clean clothes, with a pacifier. There was no attached document.

“It is likely that he was born in a health institution, because from a medical point of view everything is well arranged, the umbilical cord is cut correctly, it is already healing. After the initial examination, it appears that the newborn does not have any health problems, ”says Virgilijus Rudzinskas, director of Christian Maternity Home.

The baby found in the life-saving box has been reported to the state authorities, who will decide on the additional care of the child.

The State Service for the Protection of the Rights of the Child and Adoption has been waiting for three months before a mother, father or both parents change their mind and want to retrieve their baby left in the Life Box.

He is currently cared for by maternity staff.
