How millions are raised
Starting to walk long distances first requires your mood, comfortable shoes, endurance, strength and general physical fitness, experts say.
“I live near the Vingis park, so at first I walked the paths that I knew to the point of pain, there I met the entire elite of Lithuanian runners and runners. My daily step record is 87 thousand, and on the daily track at Vingis Park I have mostly completed 7 laps, one of which is about 5 km long.
As I walk, I try to choose different routes, but I realized that Vilnius is definitely not a big city. One day I wanted to walk as far as possible, so I did the following route: from S. Konarskio street by the river I went to Žirmūnai, Šilo, Kareivių st. bridge, I came back through Lyceum, Acropolis, Žvėrynas, Vingis Park. It seems like it’s a long way, but only 27 km have been done, ”says J. Armonienė.
