A message was received from an educator: he did not understand why a vaccinated person should isolate himself

We remind you that educators working in the preschool, preschool, and elementary school curricula began vaccinating in early February, so many are already vaccinated with both doses of the vaccine. Among those people was a kindergarten teacher who contacted Delfi.

She told the news portal that the misunderstanding about the isolation cost her a lot of time and nerves.

“For some reason, that center (NVSC – Delfi) does not see those things that I am vaccinated and that my colleagues are sick. Don’t you see things like that and I don’t understand if you don’t hire enough IT professionals to do a normal program?

We have to photograph something, write an email. emails, it is not clear which email to send, as they have about three or four addresses. He also picked up the handset only during work hours and certainly not for the first time. I understand the lines are busy, but there is a lot of nonsense in that system. “

The woman said she received a message asking to be isolated while riding the bus. After reading it, he even hung up his legs, because he really did not expect to gain such knowledge.

“At the end of the job, my colleagues and I send everything, and in the morning we receive responses that we no longer need to be isolated. Until then, however, contact was very difficult and we were also very surprised by their response that they still did not receive data about my vaccination and the illness of the companions. NVSC supposedly doesn’t have a common system where you can see everything. “

The kindergarten teacher praised the principal for informing the NVSC that she had contact with the sick child, but was disappointed that there was still no centralized system for staff to see what the current situation was.

“Since we work in kindergarten, he videotaped the four of us, but the center didn’t see that we no longer needed that isolation.”

Programming work is in progress

NVSC representatives commented that it is not yet possible to assess whether a person has been vaccinated against COVID-19 and is therefore not subject to isolation after a high-risk exposure.

“The programming works that will ensure that such information is received by the NVSC and that the person is further informed by specialists, as is the case today when a person sends an extract of the e. health systems should not be enforced.

It is generally expected that the NVSC system will automatically request the eHealth system and automatically verify that a person on the high risk list has been vaccinated. At present, it is regulated that the person must provide the supporting documents themselves “.

We would also like to remind you that NVSC Acting Head Giedrė Aleksienė indicated on Monday that this week it will show more clearly whether the third wave of coronavirus is already starting in Lithuania.

“Last week, the morbidity was slightly higher than the previous week. Then we had about 500 cases per day on average, and last week the number of new cases increased to 700-800 per day. This is like a significant increase.” G. Aleksienė told LRT radio on Monday.

According to her, this increase in infections could indicate the appearance of a third wave of coronavirus. According to the head of NVSC, this week’s data will reveal whether this is the case. “We just realized that the third wave had started. (…) Maybe it will start, we’ll see it this week, ”said G. Aleksienė.
