A dead former city police deputy chief found at his home in Kaunas

As previously announced by Kaunas County Police, the body of a man born in 1955 with an injury was found at his home on Karalgirio Street around 7 p.m. Police have launched a pre-trial investigation to determine the cause of the death.

Kaunas District Prosecutor Alius Juodviršis, who is leading the investigation, confirmed to BNS that the deceased was S. Dzunkovas.

According to the prosecutor, a version of the suicide is currently being investigated.

The kaunodiena.lt portal was the first to report the event.

According to the portal, S. Dzunkov held senior positions in the Kaunas police in the early 1990s and, after leaving them, founded a private and superficial security company.
