A Covid-19 preparation developed by Turkish scientists is ready to be tested on humans

TR-C 19 was developed by VSY Biotechnology in collaboration with the Istanbul University of Medical Sciences.

According to the president of the university Cevdet Erdöl, the implementation of the project has reached the stage of clinical trials. “Our work, supported by the Ministry of Health, has led to the development of TR-C 19, which neutralizes the coronavirus in laboratory conditions. “We are now ready to test it with volunteers diagnosed with Covid-19,” he said. Investigators await permission from the Ministry of Health.

Coronavirus was first diagnosed in Turkey on March 10. A local resident returning from Europe. To date, the total number of infected people in the country has exceeded 131,000, 3,584 people have died and 78,202 have recovered.

Since the start of the pandemic, more than 3.6 million people have been infected with the coronavirus worldwide, and around 260,000 have died.
