“The first is in Vilnius County: He is a medical worker who works in the Santara clinics, again one of the nine people who participated in the personal celebration,” Rolanda Lingienė, director of the NVSC Vilnius department, told BNS.

The coronavirus is currently detected in four of the nine people who attended the celebration on June 12.

“They were all isolated, as were the staff who served at the party, so there are no people at high risk,” said R. Lingienė.

Although it is believed that there may be more infected people associated with this outbreak, this case is not of great concern to professionals, as all people were isolated in a timely manner.

“We consider the entire outbreak to be under control,” said an NVSC spokeswoman.

The second case is imported: the coronavirus was detected in a person returning from Sweden to Utena county.

“The person returned to Lithuania on June 19 and requested an examination from the mobile station, he did not feel any symptoms. According to initial data, the two people who had contact have been identified, they are in Sweden,” said R. Lingienė.

According to her, the person acted in a very responsible manner and, according to preliminary data, after returning from a country where the epidemiological situation is unfavorable, she did not contact anyone in Lithuania.

As of June 1, 22 import cases had been registered in Lithuania.

Fifteen people are treated in hospitals and three in resuscitation

Fifteen people are being treated in hospitals for coronavirus, three of whom are on resuscitation.

“Fifteen people are treated in hospitals, including three in the resuscitation and intensive care units, and artificial pulmonary ventilation is applied to one and nine patients are treated with an oxygen mask,” said Rolanda Lingienė, head of the Vilnius Department of the Center National Public Health.

In Lithuania, a total of 1,806 people have been diagnosed with coronaviruses, 224 of whom are still ill, and 78 people have died from the virus.
