VŽ wrote that the requirement to transport the vaccine at extremely low temperatures of -75 degrees poses challenges even for specialized logistics companies in this field.

The Ministry of Health previously told VŽ that when purchasing vaccines from Lithuania, priority will be given to purchasing transportation services from the manufacturers themselves.

According to the data available to VŽ, the first shipments of the vaccine to Vilnius airport were delivered by the US-owned pharmaceutical logistics company World Courier and the German parcel company DHL.
