Rokas Pakėnas, a journalist for the 24sek.lt portal, announced that the Capital Basketball School (SKM) buys five shares of the club’s shares from Darius Gudelis, one of the main shareholders and leader of the team, for 50 thousand. euros.
“Regarding the financial agreement, I can say that the school coaches have blessed the purchase for that amount. But don’t think that SKM has a lot of money to earn.
This amount will not have to be paid immediately, in installments, which is very important at this time of a coronavirus pandemic. The amount will be distributed over a specified period. ” lrytas.lt A.Čerškus, who has been building the SKM basketball fortress for 15 years, assured.
According to the possible distribution of shares without SKM, nine shares currently remain in the Vilnius city municipality, three with D. Gudelis, one with the Perlo and Norvelitas companies and one with the lawyer Oleg Šibkovas.
It is believed that even after the sale of shares, Mr. Gudelis will remain the chairman of the board of Ryto.
SKM is one of the largest basketball schools in Lithuania, and Justas Jankauskas, the current director of Ryto, has been working there for a long time.
Regarding share issues, it must be said that next week all shareholders will meet in the Board of Directors and we will decide on the issues of the new Board.
Our vision is that the Board should have five members and that they should represent shareholders as well as supporters and supporters.
Therefore, we believe that SKM should delegate a person, D. Gudelis, a representative of the Vilnius municipality, a sponsor person and another delegate of the team’s fans.
Basically, team management is possible according to such a model: 25 percent of the votes would belong to SKM, since many would have D. Gudelis, the Municipality and fans would have 40 percent of their votes and another 10 percent would have followers.
In the future, there would be a plan for the city’s basketball fans to buy back the shares of the Municipality.
I will repeat once again that the goal is to make the club as transparent as possible and respected by all fans, ”said SKM director A.Čerškus.
– How did SKM decide to buy shares of the Rytas club? – lrytas.lt asked A.Čerškus.
– It’s been fifteen years of work (laughs). If, in fact, such an idea has been around for a long time, we consider the possibility of uniting Vilnius basketball.
After all, today in the capital there is not only the “Ryto” club, but also SKM, the Vilnius basketball school and the “Rytas” academy. Time to build a strong basketball segment in the capital.
– Who benefits from this transfer of shares, to the club or to the SKM?
– The capital’s basketball school has always needed a hat that was like a business card. Now our RKL team is playing very well and could become a “Rytas” endorsement.
The club, for its part, will have the opportunity to invite the most talented players to its ranks. I think it is a mutual benefit.
– Is this a share agreement that has not yet been signed? Could it be that the transaction will not occur?
– We are looking forward to next week. Negotiations are still going on at the moment, but that’s really normal business practice when it comes to finance and stocks.
