To express their support for opposition leader Alexei Navaln, who was arrested shortly after his return from his homeland last weekend, several dozen protesters gathered at the Russian embassy.

“In Lithuania, we cannot remain indifferent to the persecution, mutilation and murder of people with different opinions. Be that as it may, we are neighbors. It is very important to us that the people of the neighboring country are safe,” Vytautas Bakas told the audience .

He stressed that many people in Russia do not feel safe at the moment.

“For Lithuania, as for other countries, it is very important that Russia is a prosperous and democratic neighbor. So that people feel safe and free. So that we can build strong and neighborly relations,” said V. Bak.

Arrested the provocateur

During the picket there were no incidents: the provocateur, who did not recognize the Donetsk People’s Republic, which is not recognized by the international community, interrupted the Baku speech.
