Street Music Day, conceived by Andrius Mamontovas, is celebrated for the fourteenth time this year. It was due to take place in May, but the event was postponed due to quarantine. Most events take place in Vilnius, but Street Music Day is also celebrated in Biržai, Druskininkai, Gargždai, Joniškis, Jurbarkas, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Kretinga, Marijampolė, Obeliai, Prienai, Rietavas, Šilulia, Vilnius, Šilutk, Vilnius and Vilkaviškis.
In addition to the musicians playing on the city streets, events in Vilnius also take place at the Martynas Mažvydas Library, where jazz is played from Lithuania and around the world, and the musicians also organize performances in the Library courtyard Adam Mickiewicz.

Traditionally, the capital will also host a Mood Sellers punk orchestral bagpipe march. It will start at 4 p.m. at the Salomėja Nėris gym. There will be a march on Vokiečių Street, the Town Hall Square, Didžiąja and Pilies Streets, and the purpose of the march is Cathedral Square. Everyone can join the procession: from other musicians to spectators.
The celebration in Vilnius will traditionally be crowned by the Drum2gether drum improvisation procession created by musicians and spectators together. Everyone is invited to participate in the march: it is not necessary to have professional instruments, music can be created by anyone. The march will begin at 8 p.m. In the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, and from there on Calle Pilies, there will be a noisy march towards the Plaza de la Catedral. GMD creator Andrius Mamontovas says he will never miss this part of the festival: “Drum2gether is the most important part of GMD. I always try to be there, I think I will be successful this year too. It is joy in its pure form. “
