Currently, at the initiative of Maxima LT, in coordination with the National Center for Public Health, a large-scale preventive survey of employees is being carried out, during which more than 200 employees will be examined. All research is paid for by the company itself.
“This week we surveyed more than 100 employees in our warehouses: only one survey was confirmed to employees, who had just returned to work after the holidays on the day of the survey. She had no close contact with colleagues. She does not feel the symptoms of the coronavirus and has no temperature. Currently, the employee is self-insulating and the warehouse is completely disinfected, “says Ernesta Dapkienė, director of Maxima’s Department of Communication and Corporate Affairs.
All Maxima warehouse employees wear face masks as a precaution during work. For them, the temperature is measured several times a day during work.
Announce each confirmed case.
Previously, in the middle of next week, all employees of one of Maxima’s Kirtimai warehouses, security employees of different warehouses and company employees living in Rūdiškės and Onuškis will be screened.
According to E. Dapkienė, a representative of the retail chain, several positive cases of coronavirus in Kirtim calle street warehouses in recent weeks led to an investigation of this magnitude, and information about confirmed cases of coronavirus was received from others with whom the warehouse workers had close contact.
“During the pandemic, we openly and quickly announced to the public about every confirmed case in our company and the preventive security measures we take. Since the start of the pandemic, in the last 5 months, we have confirmed 10 cases of coronavirus across Lithuania for Maxima employees, of almost 400 investigated employees. We understand that the coronavirus has not disappeared anywhere: we have provided all our employees with security measures, we follow all the necessary instructions to guarantee the safety of the facilities, we are in constant communication with all responsible authorities, “says E. Dapkienė, Maxima’s Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs.
Maxima has special coronavirus insurance for its current and future employees. Current and new Maxima employees will receive benefits in the event of COVID-19 infection and hospital treatment.
