A patient treated at Santara’s clinics in Vilnius has died, the National Center for Public Health told BNS.
The patient was over 80 years old, had comorbidities. This is the eighth death of the coronavirus in Lithuania.
One of the new cases is imported from Belarus, the sick person isolated himself in a hotel with his colleagues as soon as he returned to Lithuania.
Another case was confirmed for an Uzbekistan employee, the Kaunas Hegelmann Transport company, which had become the focus. COVID-19 infection has already been detected in twenty Uzbeks.
Two of the new cases are related to a personal vacation in Salininkai. Other cases have been confirmed for a Rokiškis resident who lives alone but cares for people with disabilities, a Panevėžys resident and a Kėdainiai Lisofa employee.
A total of 1,915 cases of coronavirus were registered in Lithuania, and 80 patients died.
According to the ELTA news agency, according to the National Laboratory of Public Health on Saturday morning, 3,870 samples were analyzed to detect the alleged coronavirus on the last day. To date, a total of 4479991 have been investigated.
There are currently 223 people with coronavirus infection in Lithuania.
So far, 80 people have died. There are 1,600 people who have recovered and there are currently 73 isolated people.
Twelve people infected with the coronavirus died of other causes, according to the National Center for Public Health.
Residents of the Vilnius, Anykščiai, Trakai and Kretinga districts will undergo more intensive prophylactic tests to detect coronavirus infection from July 13 to 19. These municipalities have a higher incidence of this infection than other Lithuanian municipalities.
From June 1. There were 69 registered import cases in Lithuania.
