As of Friday, foreigners arriving from third countries outside the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the United Kingdom must remain isolated for two weeks. This is foreseen in the decision signed on Friday by the Minister of Health, the head of statewide emergency operations.

Foreigners must register at the National Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health within 24 hours of arrival.

Foreigners from countries included in the list of countries affected by the coronavirus, which is published weekly, should contact the 1808 Hotline or another investigating body for a coronavirus test within 24 hours.

If foreigners come to Lithuania for work or with the separate permission of the relevant camp Minister and their arrival is approved by the Government, and these people need isolation, the employer, the inviting person or himself must pay for the isolation facilities , transportation to isolation facilities and abroad.

Isolation will not be mandatory only for foreigners who enjoy immunities and privileges under the 1961 Act. Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, 1963. The Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, as well as other international treaties and legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania, special couriers for their families and service personnel, members of official delegations, people serving in NATO and NATO military units and their service personnel and their families, working on transit trains and using the simplified transit of people from the territory of the Russian Federation to the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation and vice versa, and people in transit through the territory of the Republic of Lithuania.

There will also be an exception for crew and crew members who work in Lithuanian companies engaged in international commercial transport or carry out international commercial transport in all types of vehicles (carriers); Due to the nature of their work, they may leave Lithuania before the end of the isolation period. It should be noted that exemptions have been and continue to be granted to carriers throughout the period of emergency and quarantine so as not to restrict the movement of goods.
