After the coronavirus case in Klaipeda, 16 employees of the “Pas Stanislovas” store were forced to isolate themselves.

According to her, two cases were detected in Kaunas at the logistics company Hegelmann Transporte, which has become the focal point of a coronavirus: a driver and an instructor who had received training had contracted an infectious disease. According to the NVSC representative, both people were infected in Lithuania by long-distance drivers from Uzbekistan.

“The instructor did not initially present himself as a high-risk person. During the contagious period, the woman had contact with 12 people, with seven of them at work, “he said.

A total of 19 cases of the disease have been identified at this facility.

“At first, we calculated that there should be 20 infected people, but we adjusted the data and saw that one of the infected Uzbeks was examined twice, and we treated it as two different cases,” explained R. Lingienė.

In Kaunas County, the infection was also detected in a sports coach.

“He had symptoms on July 11 and went to the hospital on July 14. According to preliminary data, 16 people had contact,” said the director of the Vilnius department of NVSC.

Two more cases were registered in Vilnius. According to R. Lingienė, one of them was announced by the company itself on Wednesday: the Maxima warehouse security guard detected the coronavirus.

“Another case in Vilnius County: An employee at Vilnius Airport was infected with a coronavirus. He had no contact with the travelers. He is an administrative employee,” he said.

According to the NVSC representative, three people with contact at work were identified, ten in the immediate environment, five of them, in the family.

As Marius Zelenius, head of the communication department of Lithuanian airports, later clarified, the coronavirus was not detected at an airport, but by an employee of a company that rents premises at Vilnius airport.

“Yes, the person works on the Vilnius airport premises, but he is not an airport employee. He works for a company that rents premises here,” he said.

According to R. Lingienė, the sixth case was confirmed in Klaipėda, the company “S. Jurkus go partneriai “cashier. The infected person told public health specialists that he visited the Gariūnai market on July 4, but the NVSC does not have any more data yet.

According to data on Thursday, a total of 1,902 people in Lithuania were infected with the coronavirus, 217 people are still sick, 1,593 people have recovered and 107 people are isolated.

79 people died from COVID-19, and 12 other people who died from coronaviruses died from other causes.
