“After receiving two positive COVID-19 tests from warehouse workers and learning from the National Center for Public Health about confirmed cases of coronavirus in other people with whom our sick workers had close contact, we decided to conduct a comprehensive preventive evaluation of the workers to detect coronavirus. It will take place this week and next, with a total of more than 200 evaluated employees. During this process, we cooperate with the National Center for Public Health and will immediately inform the public about the results, ”says E. Dapkienė, Director of Maxima’s Department of Communication and Corporate Affairs.

According to the representative of the commercial network, after receiving positive results of coronavirus tests on workers, people’s contacts are quickly transferred to the National Center for Public Health, with which cooperation has been established since the beginning of the pandemic. The security guard, for whom the virus was confirmed on July 15, has adhered to self-isolation since July 7. The other two close contacts of his colleagues are also currently in isolation and are registering for the study.

Maxima has special coronavirus insurance for its current and future employees. Current and new Maxima employees will receive benefits in the event of COVID-19 infection and hospital treatment.
