Another coronavirus case was detected Wednesday in connection with an outbreak at a transport services company in Kaunas, a representative from the municipality reported.

“Based on the data available so far, we have one case, which is tentatively positive in addition to those previously known,” Paulius Keras, head of the Kaunas City Municipality Municipality Emergency Operations Center, told reporters.

“This is a case that involves this company,” he added.

Currently, one of the infected people from Uzbekistan is being treated at the Kaunas Clinical Hospital, the others are isolated at the Abromiškės Rehabilitation Hospital.

Public health specialists are currently investigating about 200 employees of the coronavirus transport company, and the disinfection has been carried out at the company’s facilities.

A total of 1,882 cases of coronavirus were detected in Lithuania, 79 people died from COVID-19 and 12 other people infected with coronavirus died of other causes.
