In Kaunas, 18 people became ill with coronavirus; they all came from Uzbekistan

“They all came from Uzbekistan. The two people were notified a couple of days ago,” the report said.

According to Urina Ivanauskienė, Head of the Communicable Disease Management Division of the Kaunas Department of the NVSC Kaunas News Portal, the company is temporarily suspending its activities.

“It will be suspended until the results of the investigation are available. The disinfection of the facilities is carried out,” said O. Ivanauskienė.

According to the portal, another 180 people were sampled on Tuesday. Everyone is already low risk, but they should also isolate themselves while waiting for the results.

NVSC reported the first case at this company last week on Thursday and the second on Monday.

According to official data on Tuesday, a total of 1,875 people in Lithuania were infected with the coronavirus, 213 people are still sick and 1,571 have recovered.

79 people died from COVID-19, and 12 other people who died from coronaviruses died from other causes.
