Svetlana Mikhaylova, a 34-year-old Russian citizen who received a long-term residence permit in Lithuania, fascinated a young woman from Vilnius. A previously convicted Roma woman had enchanted a girl so much that she not only gave all the money she had to the scammer, but also took out a loan from a fast credit company.
The money did not bring happiness to either Ms. Mikhailova or the girl who got into her traps, realizing that she had been cheated, the victim with teenage health problems ended up in the hospital and the scammer who promised love happy, in police custody. And although the women later reconciled and the prosecutor’s office terminated the pre-trial investigation, it resumed, it turned out that the Roma attempted to bribe a police officer when they suspected they had found drugs in their backyard. They were suspected of being trafficked by a woman when she couldn’t find trustworthy people who agreed to “buy” happy love for money, but it later became clear that the drugs belonged to another Roma woman.
Promised not only love
According to the data from the criminal case, it was established that S. Michailova met the victim at the Vilnius bus station, using the confidence of a girl, creating the image of a reliable sorceress, the scammer convinced her to leave. The sorcerer boasted that he has special powers and can help the girl not only evoke happy love, but also start a family. It is true that they asked for money, but it is only a little: the euro grants miraculous powers, and without them there will be no love or family.
The girl, who trusted the stranger, gave S. Mikhailova not only the salary she had just received: 630 euros, but also the 4 thousand euros that she had soon taken from the fast credit company. Loan in euros. However, the love for the young woman’s heart did not touch, nor did a family start, so she panicked because she was deceived and seriously ill. I even needed hospital treatment.
The girl did not tell anyone that she had fallen into the trap of a scam. Even her mother didn’t know anything about it, although until now there have been no secrets between them. However, the woman, who knew her daughter well, immediately realized that something had happened to her, and suspicions only intensified when the girl did not return home one night. The mother, who had been searching for her all night, found her daughter by the lake, and when she returned home and tried to remove the keys from the lock of her backpack, she noticed the documents from the fast credit company.
“It was a loan agreement, I was very scared, I started asking my daughter what it was during the contract, why she had signed it,” the victim’s mother told officials during the interview. – Then he said that a few days ago he met a woman of Roma origin in the station area, who promised her that he would make her happy and asked her to bring photos of her family members. The daughter brought pictures of the house, then the woman said that if she wanted to find a husband and that all the family members were happy, money had to be given. The daughter did it, collected all the money in her account and gave it to the Roma: it was the salary she had just received and the holidays. “
Scammer: not more charming, but more comforting
According to the woman, that was not the end: the Roma told her daughter that this money was not enough and offered to go ask for a loan.
“The daughter complied with the order: she went to a fast loan company, where she completed an application and soon received 4,000 in her bank account. Eur loan, said the victim’s mother.” She collected that money and gave it to the woman”.
The victim’s mother said her daughter had the phone number of the scammer who cheated on her, so she turned to the police for the fraud.
And Ms. Mikhailova, who was caught by the suspect, admitted that she had attracted money from the girl, but assured that it was a reward for her alleged work.
“While I was at the station, I approached the girl and asked if she would like to get married,” said the woman. – She agreed. So I said you have to pay for divination. She agreed, so we exchanged phone numbers, the girl promised to contact. And about two weeks later, he called, saying he wanted to meet very quickly. “
According to Rome, the girl paid her money, but not for the fact that she was divorced, but only for calming down.
“The girl told me that she did not agree with her mother, she also spoke about other problems that depressed her, and I comforted and reassured her,” said Michailova.
During the search of the woman’s home, the officers found several gold items, some of them with precious stones, but which they could not identify.
After the police opened a pre-trial investigation into the fraud, the Roma were prosecuted and the girl acknowledged that the victim was reconciled, and the victim stated that she had no claims, and the prosecutor’s office decided to end the previous investigation. to trial.
“Take money out of the drawer”
But the investigation was soon resumed, as it turned out that less than a year after the incident, Ms. Mikhailova had committed another crime: trying to bribe police officers when they and other Roma began searching for drugs at home. The woman then offered a 500-euro bribe to the Mobile Company officer.
“Take the money out of the drawer, it is 500 euros and, in return, let us go,” suggested S. Michailova to the official.
During the search, 35 white-powder aluminum leaflets were found, but the pre-trial investigation against S. Mikhailova was terminated because it was not found to be drug related.
At the time, when speaking about the money offered to the police officer, the woman claimed that she had misunderstood her. “I was in a state of stress, sorry if the officer didn’t understand me that way,” he said.
Judge Ingrida Mikužytė of the Vilnius City District Court found S. Mikhailov, who was prosecuted for cheating and attempting to bribe an official, and sentenced her to 28 days in prison. Since he had already spent two days in custody, the court this time counted as punishment and ordered the condemned to remain in custody for 26 days.
In addition, the court decided to confiscate 500 euros, which Ms. Michailova offered to the police officer as a bribe.
