On Thursday, Kaunas residents are invited to take a closer look at the new rowing base of Kaunas Sports School “Bangpūtys” and celebrate its inauguration aloud by swimming in Lampėdis Lake. The water sports complex named after the Lithuanian rowing mecca will welcome the public with live music by Monika Pundziūtė-Moniqué on the water.
With the increasing popularity of water sports in Lithuania, rowing enthusiasts and professionals finally have a place where they can qualitatively and effectively improve the timing of their years. A new one, one of Europe’s most modern rowing bases in the Kaunas “Bangpūtys” sports school, which emerged on the shore of Lake Lampėdis in two years, will open its doors on July 9 at 7 p.m.
The opening ceremony will symbolically welcome Kaunas residents from the water. Spectators will be able to see the concert only when arriving on their own and rent water transportation (boats, kayaks) or laze around the lake on an inflatable swim wheel.
Without your own boat or kayak, the latter can be rented on the coast. Upon learning about the unusual concert, water tourists and other water entertainment organizers took the initiative to bring around a hundred kayaks.
