According to SAM, due to the high incidence of coronavirus infection (COVID-19), Swedish and Portuguese citizens and legal residents are still unable to enter the country.
SAM recalls that this procedure applies to foreigners from countries of the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Foreigners from third countries can enter Lithuania only after obtaining permission from the responsible Lithuanian institutions, depending on the nature of the problem: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Social Security and Labor, etc.
The list of countries from which entry is granted is updated weekly, taking into account epidemiological indicators in foreign countries.
As before, Lithuanian citizens can come from any country. However, for returnees from countries on the affected list, i. and. those in which the incidence of coronavirus infection in the last 14 days is greater than 25 cases per 100,000. population, 14 days of isolation is mandatory.

58 countries are considered to be affected by the coronavirus, including Belarus, the USA, Ukraine and Russia
As of Monday, 58 countries will be considered affected by the coronavirus, including Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Sweden and the United States, according to an order signed on Friday by Health Minister Aurelius Veryga.
Arrivals from the countries indicated there will be subject to mandatory isolation, it will apply to residents of our country who return to Lithuania and to foreigners who have a permit to enter Lithuania.
According to the Ministry of Health, the isolation of Ukraine, Luxembourg, Serbia and Montenegro will also be mandatory in the expanded list of countries.
Sao Tome and Principe has been removed from the list of most affected countries, but nine new states and stateless territories have been added: the Central African Republic, Montenegro, Costa Rica, Luxembourg, Palestine, the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Serbia, Turks and Caicos and Ukraine.
This list is effective on Monday, July 6.
The affected countries are Albania, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Central African Republic, Chile, Dominica, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Guam, Guatemala, Honduras, Iran, Israel, USA, United Arab Emirates, Montenegro, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Colombia, Kosovo, Costa Rica, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Maldives, Mauritania, Mexico, Moldova, Oman, Pakistan, Liberation, Panama, Peru, PAR, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Russia, Sahara, El Salvador, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Suriname, North Macedonia, Sweden, Turks and Caicos Islands, Ukraine and Cape Verde.
