Icelandic strongman H. Bjornsson made headlines last weekend when he became the first person to lift more than 500kg.
By raising the bar to 501 kg, he improved the world record, which has so far been 500 kg and belonged to the British E. Hall.
Immediately after the record, H. Bjornsson announced plans to have a boxing match with Hall, and that match would be worth a seven-figure sum.
Now it has been officially confirmed that such a fight will take place.
On their Instagram accounts, Bjornsson and E. Hall reported that a boxing matchup is scheduled for September 2021 in Las Vegas, USA. USA
“The next year and a half will be devoted to preparations,” said the 31-year-old Icelandic. “I am planning to take my family to the ring when I hit you.”
Such a fight is already called “the toughest boxing matchup in history.”
190 cm tall E. Hallas weighs 164 kg. Three years ago, the 32-year-old Briton won the World’s Strongest Man championship three years ago, in which Žydrūnas Savickas triumphed four times during his career.
H. Bjornsson, who won the World Powerlifting Championship in 2018 and climbed the podium of this tournament seven more times, is 206 cm tall and weighs 205 kg.
