The National Basketball Association (NBA), which is gearing up for the season’s restart, has begun testing players for the COVID-19 virus. Of the 302 studies conducted Tuesday, 16 positive results were officially announced.

“Infected basketball players will remain isolated until they pass a medical examination and the doctor releases them from quarantine,” the report said.

Denver Nuggets leader Nikola Jokichis has been infected with a coronavirus in his native Serbia, where he continues treatment and hopes to return to the United States.

Phoenix Suns has identified two coronavirus cases this week, but the cases have not been made public.
