The contract was executed by a team of designers assembled by Hidroterra in two stages. First, the investigation of the southeast slope of the Gediminas hill and the Palace of the Dukes was carried out, the project documentation was prepared and coordinated with the Castle Reserve Directorate, Vilnius City Municipality and the Department of Cultural Heritage. On November 20, 2020, Hidroterra received a permit to carry out maintenance work on this most damaged part of the Gediminas hill.
During the second stage, the investigation of the foundations of the slopes of the Gediminas hill, the towers of the Upper Castle, the defensive walls of the Vilnius castle enclosure and the project of maintenance works were carried out. The management permit for this part of the second stage of the works was received from the relevant supervisory authorities and presented to the National Museum of Lithuania in 2021. on March 3.
