The government promises to decide on the quarantine on Wednesday. It is said that it is necessary to force residents to wear masks indoors.

However, you do not intend to restrict business activity by visiting on Monday 15 minutes A. Armonaitė assured in the study.

“The goal is to keep economic activities and education open, while stopping the spread of the virus. <...> Media like masks can come back, and they probably have to come back.

The restrictions that are being proposed, I hope, will not speak, at least that is what we have said, of closing economic activities.

“I hope that the restrictions that have been presented do not speak, at least that is what we have said, of closing economic activities,” he said.

It is true that the quarantine is considering forcing public sector employees to work only remotely, limiting the flow and number of participants in events.

Remote work should be encouraged, according to the minister, but said she did not support restricting participants to events.

“I will be very direct and brilliant about the events. If we have a situation where the virus spreads mainly among people who have not been vaccinated, and the events in Lithuania take place only with a passport of opportunities, that is, those people who they have immunity to participate in them, so restricting the events is simply not appropriate. I think that decision will not be made, “said A. Armonaitė.

Noting that the Opportunity Passport is also available to those who do not have immunity and are undergoing coronavirus testing, the minister said that this is only possible with a negative response to the PCR test.

And trying for 80 euros is unattractive.

“The tests are now limited. It is no longer as free as in summer ”, said A. Armonaitė.

As of September 13, most services and activities are only available to people with passports. Traders complain that This has led to a reduction in billing and conflicts with passport-less customers.

However, according to A.Armoanitė, no one in the world thought of anything smarter than a passport of opportunities for companies to operate in the conditions of a general pandemic:

“The passport of opportunity is a certificate of vaccination and works in the same way as any other certificate of fact of vaccination. In a smarter world, no one came up with the idea of keeping business and other activities open.

We also want the business to work. We understand that the demand has dropped a bit, but we continue to ask people to get vaccinated to combat the varieties that are emerging and this terrible virus.

According to the minister, it is natural that some people do not support the use of the passport.

“We have economic activities, we have education, we have a health system and we have a certain resistance. It is an apology that the priority is to have a functional, educational and economic health system. And resistance is probably a natural thing. In fact, it is already possible to talk about it ”, commented A. Armonaitė.

He assured that he would do everything possible to prevent Lithuanian companies from closing again or having stricter restrictions, which occurred during the previous quarantines.

“We have the vaccine, we have all the medical tools, it is not as if we had the situation from before, where the masks and everything were missing. I have the vaccine, people can choose the manufacturer of the vaccine. <...>.

I believe that with such measures, we will do everything possible not to shut down economic activities, ”said the politician.

With these measures in place, I hope and will do everything possible to ensure that economic activities are not shut down.

Interview 15 minutes A. Armonaitė promised that the Association Law initiated by the liberal parties in the Seimas would not be kept in a drawer, stated his position on the issue of the migratory crisis and mentioned the immediate aspirations of the party in the Seimas.
