“Until now, we can be really happy with the statistics, there are only isolated cases. And if that is the case, we will be able to breathe better. However, we cannot completely forget, we cannot relax,” the minister told reporters at the Seimas on Thursday.

“The volumes tested are still considerable: more than 5,000. One of the tests was positive, that is, a good, good situation,” he added, saying that in some countries of the world, such as Sweden, the situation is much worse.

According to the National Center for Public Health, 2 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed the day before and 2,716 studies were performed.

According to A.Veryga, security measures in Lithuania “have had their effect.”

You just don’t have to spoil that situation.

“We just don’t have to spoil that situation,” said the minister.

The COVID-19 cases, he said, are now only found in close circles.

“We find them in places where the conditions for spread are good, where infected people come into close contact, that is, vacations or medical institutions, where a certain problem is scheduled,” said A. Veryga.

According to him, a randomized epidemiological study will be launched in Lithuania from July 10. Then it is expected to receive a “more real answer” on the asymptomatic cases of COVID-19.

The minister said he was unable to provide further information about the investigation, and urged contacting investigators.

“I have so little information that I have to start on July 10 and all the necessary permits have been obtained, we agree with bioethics,” said A. Vergaga.
