The decision on the masks – next week.

Dulkys said the government agreed to toughen the use of masks, but it had not yet been decided whether this would be done by introducing quarantine or exiting the emergency.

According to him, the proposals will be presented at next week’s meeting.

“We will see with the lawyers if this should be in the context of an emergency or quarantine,” he explained.

The Minister said that the mandatory use of masks should once again be mandatory in confined spaces.

“There may be some details,” he said.

According to A. Dulkis, a return to teleworking in the public sector is also being considered.

Vaccination of the elderly

He stressed that nurses with mobile correspondents are already going not only to Trakai, but also to Šilalė, Skuodas and Zarasai districts. This gives older people the opportunity to get vaccinated at home.

“That wave can continue to develop,” said the minister.

According to A. Dulkis, in preparation for vaccination in Vilnius polyclinics from October, vaccines are already distributed to these health institutions.

“Vaccines are moving to GPs and will move to other clinics across the country,” the minister said.

Earlier, the ministry stated that other municipalities would be invited to contribute to the polyclinic vaccination initiative after evaluating the Vilnius experience.

Among other things, A. Dulkys emphasized that e-health currently provides an opportunity for a family doctor to see older people who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus.

“It will provide the opportunity to call, consult and advise,” the minister said.

According to him, it is planned to increase the benefit for family doctors from 5 to 15 euros for a patient older than 75 years sent for vaccination.
